OUR STORY
Our journey began in 2020, amidst the joy and challenges of welcoming our son into the world. We faced unexpected hurdles during childbirth, which underscored the vital role of being an informed advocate for my wife. This personal experience sparked a realization: expectant fathers often lack the knowledge and support needed to actively contribute to positive childbirth outcomes.
FROM PERSONAL CHALLENGE TO COLLECTIVE EMPOREMENT
Driven by a passion to fill this gap, I started sharing our story and connecting with other fathers-to-be. The overwhelming response revealed a common desire among expectant fathers for guidance and support. This led me to go and get trained as a birth doula, then the creation of Fathers Assisting Mothers (FAM), officially launched as a 501(c)(3) organization in November 2022
